Here is a list of links that I like and use regularly and recommend that you check out.Obvious choices for this list are de.licio.us, Google, Digg, and Reddit.

Communications:

  • Faxaway.com. Faxaway provides send/receive of faxes and receipt of voice mails and sends them to your email. Its far cheaper than competing services from JFax.com and godaddy.com for instance.
  • FaxZero.Com. Provides a way to send a fax for free, (with ad support, limits on how many pages per fax and the number of faxes per day).
  • GoDaddy.Com. The world’s leading provider of domain names and a leader in hosting. Cheapest competitor, with reasonable basic services, and mediocre — but acceptable for the cost — technical support. However, they offer numerous premium service at very premium prices (don’t buy the fax service for instance).

News/Tech Sites:

Deals/Consumer stuff:

  • Bargains.com — Good deals in near real time.” href=”http://www.cheapstingybargains.com/”>CSB.Com. CheapStingyBargains.Com is a really good spot to find deals on stuff. The stuff they show there isn’t alway a rock solid bargain, but there “Ten Hottest Deals” usually is.
  • Clark Howard.  The Clark Howard Web Site is the archive site for his radio show.  The show is a great resource for consumer-oriented tips. Note that if you have a question — unlike any other show I know of — you can call regularly during non-air times, and Clark’s team will either answer your question, or schedule a time to call you back with an answer. This call-back isn’t part of the show, its part of the Free Service. Clark is the second most value-oriented person my wife knows.
  • The Consumerist.  These guys often have good tips/news on how to deal with the large corporations make it hard for consumers to get full value for their money.
