GoDaddy 24-Hour Support — NOT!

I’ve been having trouble with my hosting support lately. I this morning, I got an urgent call from a user who needed a file uploaded, and couldn’t, because GoDaddy’s HTTP and FTP (and mail they tell me) were down.
I called them several times and when I could get through, they told me that it was fixed each time. After several hours of struggling, the problems seemed to clear up.
However, when I called later in the day with a domain/hosting related problem that I had assumed wasn’t theirs, I couldn’t get through at all.
So much for 24-hour support (just not in a row?).
Update: While the problems connecting to GoDaddy were real, and they couldn’t diagnose the problem, it turns out that the real problme is the same as in 90 % of customer service calls — User error… Oops.
